Remote Contracting Jobs in Demand (Six Figures)

If you don’t enjoy going into the office every day then a remote contracting job may seem like the perfect choice. Where do you find them though?

According to a site called FlexJobs who are a job site for contractors, well, according to them remote contracting jobs are everywhere, and many of them come with a six figure salary to boot.

Yes you read that right. Six figures directly into your pocket. No need to clock in and clock out everyday and no need to engage in boring chit chat with your fellow office drones. Instead, you will be able to do your own thing, all from the comfort of your living room.

Some big companies such as IBM, Yahoo and Aetna have actually got off the remote job gravy train in recent months. They WERE very much on the train, but then started to wonder if their contractors were not being productive enough.

“Get back in the office,” said the bosses, and with those words a collective groan was heard among remote contractors who just wanted to stay at home.

So they are back in the office right now, as we speak, but you don’t have to join them. There are plenty of big companies who DO hire contractors for remote positions. No commute required.

What are some of these remote jobs you might be wondering? Well, how about Senior Cyberark Consultant for starters.

In this type of job you will be well versed in the art of computer science and have the kind of technical leadership experience that warrants a six figure pay cheque.

The next kind of remote contractor job you could be applying for is Senior Net Software Developer. No, this doesn’t have anything to do with floppy disks but you will need to be “in the know” when it comes to things such as coding skills and knowledge about the latest software.

Good verbal skills are also required, because you could have to spend a bit of time on the phone with clients.

Another six figure remote job you might want to consider is Customer Success Support Engineer. In this position expect to bring good phone, email and communication skills to the “kitchen” table, as well as knowledge of a specialised field such as engineering or technolgy.

It doesn’t sound very appealing you might be thinking, but when you get that cash in your bank account it makes everything worth while.

Lastly, you could be applying for a District Sales Manager position as a contractor, only in this job you don’t have to turn up at the office every day.

In fact, as long as you can inspire your team to keep bringing in the sales then I doubt your bosses would care if they never see you. Of course, this kind of remote contracting job also comes with a six figure salary.
